Cryolipolysis – what is it?
Sama cryolipolysis is a completely non-invasive method of slimming and body contouring. It is based on the process of lipolysis, the breakdown of fat cells. Nowadays, many treatments of this type are available in aesthetic medicine clinics, and they differ mainly in the method of breaking down fat. In the case of cryolipolysis, the process occurs under the influence of cold. Fat cells subjected to minus temperatures are frozen and then naturally excreted by the body. Another effect is also to firm and thicken the tissue by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin by the phobroblasts within it.
Is cryolipolysis the treatment for me?
Cryolipolysis is an excellent solution for people who can’t get rid of fat in a specific area despite a proper lifestyle, including exercise and diet. The treatment can be carried out on a variety of areas, and this:

What does the cryolipolysis procedure look like?
At the very beginning, the aforementioned protective primer is applied to the patient’s body. The specialist then begins the treatment by applying a properly sized head to the skin. With a mylar, he moves it over the selected area, thoroughly freezing the fat cells. He then painlessly suctions the head, after which he tears off the pad and begins lymphatic drainage with ultrasound, also using a special head.
The total treatment time is 75 minutes, with 60 minutes for the freezing stage and 15 for the ultrasound stage. In the price of ZLipo cryolipolysis , our patients receive a package of 4 ultrasound sessions to be repeated every 2 days. Typically, cryolipolysis is recommended 2-3 times (every 4-6 weeks or so) for optimal results, although much will depend on the individual case. The first results are visible after the first session.
Cryolipolysis – side effects and contraindications
Cryolipolysis does not have overly burdensome side effects. Only swelling, redness or slight soreness are possible. However, they disappear on their own after about 7 days, and do not interfere too much with daily activities.
