- permanent changes in skin tone or coloration
- blisters

- scarring
How to prepare for the procedure?
Your doctor should let you know in advance how he or she would like you to prepare for your laser hair removal procedure, but here are some general guidelines to follow:
- Avoid sun exposure a few days before the procedure, as laser hair removal does not work well on tanned skin.
- Avoid peels or other chemical treatments in the week before the procedure, which can irritate the skin.
- You may be asked to shave or wax the area beforehand.
- If possible, come to your appointment with clean, makeup-free skin.
- Avoid aspirin or other anti-inflammatory or herbal medicines, which can aggravate bleeding.
- Postpone your appointment if you have herpes or another open wound on your face.
